WORKING TITLE - A GROUP ART SHOW
March 4th, 6th, and 7th @ 7 PM
ST JAMES EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN LA JOLLA
WORKING TITLE is a group art show featuring works by painters, sculptors, sound artists, video artists, performance artists, and musicians. Transforming the public spaces of the historic St. James By-The-Sea into a living, breathing Sistine Chapel, these local artists will present works that dialogue respectfully and reverently with this beautiful space, while interrogating ideas of ritual, sacredness, and religious belief. Audiences will be guided from the front steps through the sanctuary and chapel to the courtyard and library, encountering different performances and works along the way, and hopefully gaining a new perspective on this iconic example of Spanish Colonial architecture, a true San Diego landmark.
Is it an art exhibit? Is it a concert? YES TO BOTH!
